Whales Tooth Scrimshaw by Peter Brown on timber base with paper scroll reading "Earl of Pembroke, Launched in 1761 at the coal and whaling port of Whitby as a coal collier. She had a length of 106 feet and a beam of 29 feet. She was purchased by the navy in 1768 and commissioned as His Majesty's Bark Endeavour.
