NSW Heritage Number Plate '151'

Originally issue in 1915 to Mr William Fimmell of 15 Collins St. Annandale on a 8-9hp Renault. Later owned by the late Frederick Claude Vivian Lane (Shakie) who was the first Australian to win a Gold Medal at an Olympic Games for swimming in 1900. 151 was incidentally his address in Paddington (151 Victoria St.) and his Sydney phone Number. An example of a highly sought after 'Palindromic' plate.
The new owner can take possession of the existing pressed metal plates as per the catalogue image/s or may opt to have new ceramic plates made as per the digital example for a fee.
Note: Buyers are responsible for payment of all transfer fees prescribed by Service NSW. The primary image of the plate is for illustration purposes only and the font on the actual plates may vary slightly.

  • Condition: Please note that whilst we endeavour to mention any imperfection, the absence of this information in the catalogue does not automatically imply that the lot is free from defect.
