  • Provenance: Dinny (Dini) Campbell Tjampitjinpa was a Pintupi artist born near Jupiter Well in Western Australia. He spent his early life living traditionally in the bush before his family relocated to the Balgo Catholic mission in the late 1950s.

In 1981, he first participated in painting as one of the assistants on Uta Uta Tjangala's monumental 'Yumari' canvas, an important early Papunya Tula work. He soon began painting for Papunya Tula Artists after moving from Balgo to Kintore in the early 1980s. His style showed Balgo influence—particularly linked dotting—while remaining grounded in Pintupi cultural traditions.

Dinny's works primarily depict Tingari cycle stories connected to the sites around Lake Nyaru and Walatju, rendered with a classic yet individually expressive compositional approach. By the late 1980s and early 1990s, he was known as one of Kintore's most dedicated painters.

A significant recognition of his work came in 2003 when one of his Tingari paintings was reproduced on an Australian postage stamp, cementing his legacy as an important Western Desert artist.
