Bronze Buddha Shakyamuni & Two Bodhisattvas a common triptych of the historical Buddha Shakyamuni flanked by two Bodhisattvas. the two bodhisattvas here, as often in this particular triptych format, are the Bodhisattva of Benevolence on his elephant, and the Bodhisattva of Wisdom, seated on his lion. traditionally Manjusri sits on the Buddha's left. the two characters incised on the back of the Buddha read Shi Shou, perhaps the name of the maker, perhaps the donor who commissioned the pieces.
