An Afghan Veg Dye Kazak Ferehan (287x219cm). Woven by desert nomads in Northern Afghanistan. Using fine hand dyed and hand spun wool. The wool is soft and silky underfoot. The dyes used are organic dyes. The field colour is a stunning burnt lacquer red, with emerald, sky and navy blue highlights. The rug has a particularly attractive coral border with a series of latchhook medallions. The allover design is inspired by century old Caucasian rugs. The rug is brand new.
