1x 1991 Adelphi Limited 'Glenrothes Distillery' 25 Year Old Speyside Single Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky. From an American oak, ex-Sherry Hogshead, this is old oak in colour with very good beading. The warm wood notes are noticeable immediately - like a shepherd's crook left out on the hill on a warm day. Then come traces of dark chocolate Crunchie bars, Robinson's lime marmalade, coconut biscuits and a hint of saddle soap. On the palate, highland toffee notes are noticeable with bitter chocolate ice cream and subtle touches of eucalyptus. Oaky notes, mirroring the nose, linger on the tongue in a medium finish.
