Delivery of Goods to Lawsons
Lawsons can recommend removalists and packers to collect and deliver goods from single items to entire house contents. We are located ten minutes from Sydney's CBD and have excellent access and free carparking facilities.
We receive goods each Monday and Tuesday between 8am - 4.30pm.
Commission is charged on the total (hammer price) value of sales. Lawsons also conducts on-site auctions in a similar manner to saleroom auctions attracting a different fee structure for the vendor.
Lawsons are happy to provide a pre-sale estimate for items submitted for sale and offer a free verbal appraisal based on fair market value. If you are considering submitting goods for sale we can conduct a walk through valuation on site by appointment. This service is free but depending on location, traveling expenses may be incurred. We also have a walk-in appraisal afternoon during our viewing period every Thursday in our rooms (other times by appointment). Estimates can be provided from photographs.
Lawsons advertises in the auction columns of the Sydney Morning Herald every Saturday, in addition to local and other papers including the Trading Post, Collectormania, Inner Western Courier, Blue Mountains Gazette, Wentworth Courier and more. Our electronic newsletter reaches an ever increasing number or buyers. Where we have items of a unique nature specialist advertising will be undertaken and any charges fully discussed with the client in advance.
Additional services provided by Lawsons include customs clearance, gemological testing, framing, restoration and storage. These services are carried out by agents under instruction from Lawsons and are charged to the client. Vendors will be advised prior to any charges being incurred.
A Settlement statement is prepared along with the proceeds of sale itemising the results which can also be viewed, shortly following the auction, on our website.
